The NextOfKin App Text Reminders

The NextOfKin App offers an optional text message program. Taking part is entirely your choice, and you are never subscribed by default.

• Program name: The NextOfKin App Text Reminders
• What you receive: check-in reminders — the texts the in-app consent checkbox describes, and the only texts this program sends
• Message frequency: depends on your check-in schedule
• Cost: message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

How to opt in

You opt in inside the app at https://try.thenextofkinapp.com by entering your mobile number and actively checking a consent checkbox, either during setup or later from Settings. The checkbox is never pre-checked, and you can skip the step entirely.

How to stop, and how to get help

• Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Opt-out is honored immediately and at no cost.
• You can also turn text reminders off inside the app, in Settings.
• Reply START to opt back in, or re-enable text reminders in the app.
• Reply HELP for assistance, or email hello@thenextofkinapp.com.

Your number and your consent record

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number, consent record, and opt-out record are used only to deliver the messages you asked for, to honor opt-out requests, and to keep the records mobile carriers and applicable regulations require.

Service providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the app and this program:

• Twilio Inc. — SMS message delivery
• Base44 (a Wix company) — application hosting and data storage
• SendGrid — transactional email delivery
• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing

Base44’s platform encrypts data in transit and at rest.

NextOfKin administrators may access user data to provide support, debug issues, and maintain the service. We do not access user data for marketing or any unrelated purpose.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. On request, we permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law — for example tax records, fraud investigation, or pending legal matters. A confirmation email is sent to the address on your account.
